타이포그래피와 사운드로 시작된 3일간의 워크숍은 음악에 영감을 받은 음악 출판물 디자인을 위한 새로운 서체와 활자 자료를 결과물로 남기며 마무리되었습니다.
간략한 워크숍 소개와 영감을 공유하며 시작된 워크숍 첫째 날에는 다양한 도구와 기법을 사용한 스케치와 실험이 함께했습니다. 둘째 날은 손 스케치를 디지털화하는 방법을 배우는 데 중점을 두며 벡터 드로잉과 글립스(Glyphs) 프로그램 작업 준비에 대한 논의가 진행되었습니다. 워크숍 마지막 날인 셋째 날에는 가변 폰트(variable font) 프로젝트 버전 작업을 비롯해 소프트웨어 구성, 기성 폰트 파일 보내기 및 테스트 작업을 하며 마무리되었습니다.
Zuzanna Rogatty and Jan Estrada-Osmycki conducted a three-day typographic workshop entitled "Typography & Sound — Can music and sound inform letterforms?"
Typography and sound were the starting point for the three-day workshop. The result of the training was new typefaces and lettering materials that were inspired by music and can be used to design music releases.
The workshop started with a brief introduction and sharing inspirations. The first day was dedicated to sketching and experimenting with different tools and techniques. The following days were focused on learning how to digitize hand sketches. The issues of drawing vectors and preparation for work in the "Glyphs" program were discussed. The last day was devoted to working on the versions of the "variable font" projects, configuring the software, exporting, and testing the finished font files.
